  • Fuse repairs - fuse boxes and blown fuses
  • Power surges
  • Lighting and emergency lighting
  • Electrical outlets, sockets, wiring and switches
  • Circuit breakers...

Never try to repair an electrical fault yourself, this is a risk to yourself and to others. All our local Edinburgh engineers have had the necessary training and the experience dealing with electrical issues for years.

  • Installation of extra aerial (Coaxial) sockets
  • Installation of cookers and cooker points
  • Fan installation
  • Light switches
  • CCTV...

PAT Testing (portable appliance testing) is the most common electrical test carried out by our local Edinburgh electricians. If you are a business owner or a landlord in Edinburgh or the local area, all your electrical appliances should be tested for the safety of residents and employees. Typical appliances which are tested include:

  • Computers - monitors, printers, fax machines...
  • Kitchen appliances - kettles, microwaves...
  • Extension leads
  • Radios
  • Speakers
  • Any other portable appliance under 18kg

The engineer will test these types of items using the latest PAT testing equipment. He will also look for signs of damaged wiring, faulty plugs or plug sockets, burn marks shown where an appliance has become overheated or an appliance not turning on/off correctly. Once the inspection is finished the qualified engineer will then test the appliances work correctly. After the engineer has completed the test he/she will provide you with a certificate of the pass and date or each item that has failed.
